TREND is a 10-week undergrad summer research program in nonlinear dynamics at UMD College Park, funded by the NSF (award PHY-2150399.) and housed in IPST (Institute for Physical Science & Technology).

Projects are computationalexperimentaltheoretical, or a combination of these. Topics include:

Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Internship

The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Internship program at The Hormel Institute allows interns to work with scientists in their labs on biomedical research projects. This helps students expand their knowledge of basic research and gain firsthand experience learning about equipment and techniques that are generally not available in undergraduate academic programs.

Augsburg will be hosting an in-person event focused on applying to paid research opportunities in STEM that is open to students, staff, and faculty from Augsburg and the broader community.

SciComm Workshop: Prepping for interviews: How to turn your written application into an engaging conversation

Whether you’re applying for a job or graduate school, you need to pass the interview. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to get over the interview jitters and turn their written materials into a great conversation with their interviewer. Attendees should come to the workshop with their personal statement, cover letter or materials they started from previous workshops.
