Who are we?
The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) is an initiative funded by the National Science Foundation. LSAMP supports alliances between institutions of higher education and other organizations to increase STEM degrees for underrepresented populations and support research on STEM participation and broader impacts.
The Louis Stokes North Star STEM Alliance is the Minnesota branch of this nation-wide program. Aside from receiving funding from NSF, we also receive funding from 3M to support providing stipends, travel opportunities, research funding, and more to students who join our cohort.
