Who are we?
The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) is an initiative funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). LSAMP supports alliances between institutions of higher education and other organizations to increase STEM degrees for LSAMP populations and support research on STEM participation and broader impacts.
The North Star STEM Alliance, the Minnesota branch of the national LSAMP program, is dedicated to increasing STEM degree attainment. Through partnerships with higher education institutions and support from the NSF and 3M, we provide stipends, research funding, travel opportunities, networking opportunities, industry site visits, STEM career exploration, and more to help our undergraduate students succeed in STEM fields.
