I am hoping to network with more native students and professionals in stem to gain more connections and mentors providing a community for me to be validated, understood and help push me to grow. I also am hoping to work on my leadership skills and gain more experience and confidence in being a leader.

The biggest challenge in my undergraduate education so far is getting into all the required classes needed to graduate. Often, there are classes only available during the spring or fall semester which greatly limits which classes I can take and when I can take them. Other than that, I haven't had that many challenges that I can easily find a solution to.
Sadly, I don't think North Star STEM Alliance could help me much with the certain classes I need to get into for my degree. However, if there are transferable classes that North Star STEM Alliance looks into that I could take from another university or college that could be helpful. There could also be certain research programs that could cover an elective or support my degree progress.
In order to increase the engagement of multicultural students in STEM disciplines, I will look into talking to other classmates and friends since U of M Morris has a large Native community.
